Banchetto is a street food fair in Ortigas Center along Emerald Avenue. It starts from 12 mn every Friday and usually goes on until 11 am on Saturday. Going through the different stores which offers a variety of food (which ranges from lechon, barbecue, pasta, pizza up to fruit shakes, salads, cakes, shawarma, lugaw and even kwek-kwek and chicken skin!) is always a torturous experience for me. Its so hard to decide when so many good food surrounds you and you're just wondering how you'll magically find a way to get to eat all of them without ending up looking like the Blob! I love the shawarma (P50), barbecues (P50-70), lechon rice meals (P100) and the ginormous burger so aptly called Monster Burger (P120)! Its actually a refreshing alternative to a Friday night of clubbing or it can even be a destination after you've partied the night a way and chugged down tons of alcohol. I personally enjoy eating after a night of drinking. Although the only problem here is that there aren't a lot of seats so you might want to take your food to go instead. But all in all Banchetto is a Glutton Feast that you'll surely enjoy! Oh and by the way just an added trivia "Banchetto" is actually Italian for "Feast".
