Food I Like: Som's Noodle House

If you want to make me happy but you're on a tight budget all you need to do is take me to Som's Noodle House! You can get me their famous Pad Thai (P65) and my uber favorite chai tea (P30+) for a little over a hundred pesos you've already taken me to food heaven! (hint hint to the boyfriend!) The place is located inconspicuously in poblacion makati just right before you reach rockwell if youre coming from makati ave. and passing thru kalayaan. I must warn though that people go to this place for the food and not really for the ambiance although there's nothing grossly wrong with their set up- its just a typical carinderia sa kanto scenario they have going on (al fresco dining if you want to make it sound expensive). but they do light you a candle on your table come night time which is cute I must admit. And did I say that I love their chai tea?

Food I Like: Marciano's

I'm a cheese lover that's why american-italian fusion (new york food to be exact) fits me oh so well. The place looks uber trendy (love the chandeliers) but the tables are a bit too crowded together in my opinion and I wouldn't really recommend if you want an intimate setting for a date this place is more for serious eating. The servings are humongous and the prices are very reasonable you can actually have a complete meal for two or even three people for less than a thousand bucks. I would highly recommend the carbonara and quattro formaggio for those of you whos not into counting carbs and want to enjoy life.

Food I Like: Galileo Enoteca

I have always been a vodka person and I also have an insufferably Filipino taste bud so I found myself pleasantly surprised that I can actually enjoy wine and a cold cuts and cheese platter which are served before the main course. Now, if you are a true red blooded Filipino you would know that meat is never as in never served cold but then I found myself munching on all of them and almost finishing up the bread basket all by myself. Aside from the great tasting food Galileo also offers a very charming, warm and relaxed ambiance a perfect match to the light tipsiness you get from drinking too much wine which can be a perfect set up if you want to take someone on a date. After two glasses of wine you'll suddenly find yourself all cozy and cuddle wanting. The prices are very reasonable although the location is a bit of a challenge but not at all impossible to find and totally worth the effort.
